The office, in cooperation with the academic and administrative offices, is the custodian of updated information on the academic and administrative management of the university made accessible to external quality assessors. The office coordinates to the offices of the Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Vice-President for Finance and Vice-President for Administration, concerns regarding monitoring and evaluation in the areas of governance and management, teaching and research, support for students, relations with the community management of resources. On April 1, 2013, QuAMEO was changed to Institutional Development and Quality Assurance Office [IDQAO]. Consequently, overseeing institutional development is added to its mandate.
